Tuesday, May 26, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin initial construction for a center left-turn lane on US-127 from Ayers Road to Floyd Avenue in southern Jackson County.
Work next week includes temporary widening of the roadway so traffic can be maintained for the remainder of the project. Traffic will be reduced to 45 mph through the work zone, and one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction.
